In the time when the civil society was growing in power, be it at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy or in the mid-war Czechoslovakian Republic, it was considered to be good manners when a potential host invited his or her personal friends and business associates over to show off their new artwork. This was not only evidence of his or her stable economic status but also a display of good taste and good manners – supporting the arts. Artists would receive recognition of their work and future job offers as well as necessary financial stability. The two sides of the same coin complemented each other to the benefit of all.

Visual arts have been, since time immemorial, an expression and a synonym of success, prosperity and wealth. If you also add taste, then the exceptionality of the status of the visual arts accomplishes its mission- showcasing the best of itself to society. It is gratifying that some present-day business elites in the Czech Republic seek out art for both the eye and the soul (theirs and their loved ones'), and also as a form of investment in the arts. Investment in the arts has long been perceived as one of the most secure forms of investment, and ultimately also enriches society.

This trend is evident everywhere from public and private gallery collections to interiors of historic properties, as well as the furniture collections of current congress halls, banking houses and art-loving private collectors. Respectable business dealings are either usually introduced with a discussion about art (wanting to know more about the artistic sensibility of the future business partner) or take place directly in a venue that is filled with art. All this in good company. Investment in art and art trade rank among the leading trade commodities. Being ready - is the way to investment success. Belong among the successful! We introduce a brand to you - Josef Pepa Luňáček (1965).
